 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American comedian, actress and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. From 2013 to 2016, she worked as the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She rose to fame due to her appearances in TV commercials. The commercials she appeared in were not her only activity she did. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She was also regularly featured on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was also cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot series New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were just two years old, emigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They settled in West Hollywood. When she was five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit in her sophomore year. She earned an GED and went to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
